The Vanguard Hoplite is a medium-sized dropship from Aegis Dynamics. Unlike the other Vanguard variants it does not have an interchangeable room module.[1] Its interior has six jump-seats for an auxiliary crew and storage space for hand weapons. The Vanguard Hoplite has four bespoke weapon hardpoints on the nose, one weapon hardpoint on the chin, a manned turret, and four missile rack hardpoints. It was released in Alpha 2.6.0 directly as flight ready ship.
“ | The Vanguard Hoplite is a cross between the winning Vanguard deep space fighter and a dedicated boarding ship. Adapting the reliable design for amphibious operations, the Hoplite is the perfect tool for inserting an armored strike team with enough firepower to get them out again. | ” |
