The Talon is a small single-seat light fighter by Esperia. The ship has two weapon hardpoints, two missile racks, and a unique feature of the Talon is the ejectable cockpit/escape pod. and the Talon also has a digital screen instead of a common glass canopy. The Talon and the Talon Shrike have the same hull but different hardpoint configurations and the Talon has a green color scheme.

The Talon is the perfect example of the Tevarin way of building a spaceship: maneuverable with powerful, directional 'Phalanx' shields but weak physical armour, as the Tevarin way of war was to strike first and strike hard, before using their Phalanx shields to cover their escape.	”

• Two size 4 weapon hardpoints, one under each wing, are equipped with size 3 laser cannons installed on gimbal mounts and the two missile racks are loaded with a combined total of four size 2 missiles.

• The cockpit is outfitted with a screen instead of a common see-through glass canopy and the entire cockpit serves as a escape pod.

History

The Esperia Talon and Talon Shrike are recreations of original Tevarin Talon fighters that have been found on Kabal III in a abandoned weapon cache some time after the Second Tevarin War. The UEE gave Esperia permission to study and reverse-engineer these Tevarin ships to be as close as possible while also be able to accommodate a human pilot, and as legally allowed.
