The Perseus is an upcoming large gunship manufactured by Roberts Space Industries, the ship armament includes two twin S 7 turrets and two twin size 3 turrets, and twenty size 5 missiles. The main focus of the Perseus lies in patrolling, anchoring a blockade and fleet defense which is also reflected in the relative low speed.
The Perseus concept was revealed on day 9 of the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo 2950 and currently has no announced release date as of 2020.[1]
“ | When RSI set out to make the definitive modern statement in persuasive prevention, they looked into their own past, to the historic gunships designated Perseus. Capable of shredding sub-capital class goliaths, the mere presence of a Perseus gunship in a blockade or patrol squad is enough to make your most aggressive enemies think twice before engaging, just like its vintage namesake. | ” |

History[]
The first Perseus was constructed in the late 2520 during Humanity's era of tension with the Xi'an and was subsequently stopped being produced in 2860 after tensions lowered. But in 2946 Admiral Ernst Bishop pressured Roberts Space Industries to again start producing it after witnessing an outdated Perseus, the UEES Achilles, performing very effective against the Vanduul. RSI used this opportunity to redesign the Perseus for the civilian market and integrated a cargo bay capable of storing land vehicles into it.[3]
