Missiles are self-propelled weaponry that are carried by missile racks and are categorized by tracking signal and size. Missile racks determine the amount and size a ship can carry.
Missiles tracking signals[]
Type | Description |
---|---|
Infrared | Each ship generates heat, and that heat dissipates and radiates out into space. This can be detected more easily when the ship is "hot". |
Electromagnetic | As with infrared, each ship, through its constituent components, produces electromagnetic energy which also radiates in space and can be detected proportionally according to its size. |
Cross Section | This third signature only exists when faced with an active system that illuminates its target (like a radar). It is the return of this signal (the echo) which is measured and which makes it possible to detect the presence (or not) of an object. This signature is all the more important as the target is not only large but also its surface is reflective. Overall, this will be a visible section. |

Missile racks[]
A missile rack allows ships to launch missiles, they vary in size which allows to load more missiles and/or higher sizes of missiles.
