Haven is a settlement on the planet Tyrol V, within the dying Tyrol system. Because of Tyrol V's close proximity to the system's red giant star, human inhabitants of Haven require thermal shielding within their clothing to protect themselves from the surface's extreme temperatures. Haven is built into the walls of an extensive canyon, which allows its dwellers to escape the harsh outside temperatures. A well developed system of tunnels pervade these walls. Due to the Tyrol system's low UEE _(grey) interest, and its isolated and unfavorable location, the tunnels of Haven are the ideal home for refugees, fugitives, criminals, outlaws, and the exiled.
