The Gladius Valiant from Aegis Dynamics is a special edition of the Gladius and features the same base color scheme but has additional decals that read ODP. It is a small fixed-wing single-seat light fighter with a different default weapon configuration than the standard Gladius.

It is only available for purchase on the official website during events like Invictus Launch Week or Intergalactic Aerospace Expo.

Features

Armament
It has three size 3 gun hardpoints, one hardpoint under the wings is equipped with Omnisky IX Cannons and one size 3 hardpoint on the nose is equipped with a CF-337 Panther Repeater. Additionally it has four size 3 missile rack hardpoints, two racks are each carrying one Viper III infrared missile, and two racks are each carrying four Pioneer I electromagnetic missiles.

Other
A personal storage compartment located on the starboard side can be accessed from outside, as well as a weapon rack for two hand weapons. The pilot seat is capable to be ejected in case of emergency.

Trivia

When introduced the Gladius Valiant featured a unique color scheme of a green hull with dark green details along the wings and stabilizer fins, and orange trim. This differed from the base Gladius which had olive drab paint with light grey trim. But around Alpha 3.9 the colors of the base Gladius were updated to use a slightly desaturated orange trim, and since then the base Gladius and Gladius Valiant look nearly identical besides the ODP decals.
