Daymar (Stanton 2b) is one of three moons orbiting Crusader, its name origins from a children's tale.
“ | Named after the middle brother of the three siblings featured in the 25th century children's tale, "A Gift for Baba," this is the largest of Crusader's moons. Daymar's slightly eccentric orbit is said to represent his ease at getting lost in the story. | ” |

History[]
It all started when Crusader and his moons were bought by Crusader Industries, except that the company was not interested in Crusader's moons but only in the gas giant. But Kelly Caplan had taken it into her head to convince visitors to Crusader to take a leap to the moons. Since the space on the floating platforms was extremely limited, she had encouraged companies to locate on the surface of one of the moons and thus increase traffic to those parts of the system. Companies just had to adhere to strict environmental standards meant to preserve the natural beauty of each of the moons. Many companies found the conditions too onerous and decided not to establish a base. In order to attract more visitors and businesses to Crusader Moons, Caplan gave them names that everyone would recognize: Cellin, Daymar and Yela. The names were borrowed from characters in a famous 25th century children's story, "A Gift for Baba", one of Caplan's favorite childhood books and which she had recently started reading to her own children. The names turned out to be perfect, as each moon had a distinct environment that matched the temperament of its namesake in history. In addition, the fact that this is a space travel story stuck well with the spirit of the Crusader company. Although Caplan's plan to populate the moons did not work as well as she hoped, several outposts were built and still dot the surface of the moons today. Some outposts are abandoned, but many of them are still doing business and need carriers to deliver their products and load cargo.
